City Campus 100-Year Celebration 1910 to 2010

The refurbishment of this historical building is supported by the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund.

Did you study or know anyone who studied here between 1910 and 1990? If yes, please visit http://dutcitycampus.blogspot.com and share your experience or images with us.

City Campus celebrates its centenary this year. The foundation stone was laid in December 1910 by the Duke of Connaught, and the staff and students of what was then the Durban Technical Institute moved into the new buildings two years later.

With a major roof refurbishment in 2010, generously funded by Lotto, it is appropriate to celebrate the centenary and the building restoration. A celebration in November 2011 of DUT’s centenary milestone included:

Unveiling of the Commemorative Plaque
Centenary Publication
Exhibition
Student Festival

Contributions in the form of photographs, personal reminiscences and any other memorabilia from alumni and friends of the DUT would be very welcome. Please use the 100-Year Celebration Blog to make your contributions.
