THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS FOR AFRICA
South Africa has been ranked as the most unequal society by the World Bank No need to cite this. This programme will focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations member states in 2015. The SDGs are the blueprint to achieve a better, and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The SDGs include 17 goals that are interconnected and aimed at achieving them by 2030. The programme will focus specifically on the African context, giving students first-hand experience through the lens of the South African attempt at achieving these goals.
