It involves the application of physical and life sciences, mathematics, economics, and engineering principles to create, change, and move chemicals, materials, and energy. Moreover, chemical engineering is playing a significant role in digitalization.
The following programmes are offered in the field of Chemical Engineering:
– Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Chemical Engineering
– Bachelor of Engineering Technology Honours in Chemical Engineering
– Diploma in Pulp and Paper Technology
– Advanced Diploma in Pulp and Paper Technology
– Master of Engineering
– Doctoral of Engineering
Please note that the above list may help you choose the most suitable program for your career aspirations. There are various sectors for work opportunities in South Africa, including Sasol, Banking, Engen, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Hullets, Paints, Cements, Mondi, Sappi, Tissue, Transnet, Water Treatment, Extraction of Oil, Mines, Minerals, Recycle, Tiger Brand, Beacon and more.
These qualifications allow for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the Paper Manufacturers Association of South Africa (PAMSA), and it is internationally recognised through the Sidney Accord.
