About the Department
Welcome to the Department of Financial Accounting. Our primary focus is on continuously improving the Financial Accounting discipline by easily providing students with a practical education enabling them to adapt to the work environment, propelling our graduates to create employment opportunities. We have a strong focus on research, learning and teaching of accountancy and entrepreneurship across all disciplines. We aim to be an outstanding school of choice for the education of undergraduate and postgraduate students, offering excellent teaching grounded in appropriate research and scholarly activities.
In the Department of Financial Accounting, we are committed to serving our students with a quality learning experience, and a long-life learning through our highly-skilled, experienced and innovative team of lecturers and administrative staff. Our academic staff members continuously work towards students’ empowerment and building strong relationships with the public and private sectors. We are at the forefront of knowledge in various disciplines of our programmes. Our excellent work can attest to the quality of graduates we produce and the opportunities that arise when entering the job market.
The Postgraduate Graduate qualification offered by the department namely,
- Master of Accounting
Postgraduate programme is only offered in full research requiring a submission of a full-thesis for examination. There is no coursework
